The BYTOWN MUSEUM is a not-for-profit educational and cultural institution which exists to engage the community of Ottawa and visitors from abroad to share in the remarkable history of the Capital of Canada by featuring exhibits and a permanent gallery featuring the beginnings of the city of Ottawa. Rental revenue is put towards the fulfillment of our mission to deliver educational programs and services to the thousands of visitors and students we engage each year.
